Someone recently asked me what my opinion of love was. That sent me thinking. So the poem (hoping that's what it is) that I've written below is what I came up with much after the question was put up.
If love was a sound
it would be the beating of my heart
If love was a thing
it would be a shawl that I'd wrap around
If love was a taste
it would be both bitter and sweet
If love was a drink
its one drop I wouldn't waste
If love was a smile
it would never fade away
If love was a road
it would stretch for countless miles
If love was a word
it would be the name of the one I love
If love was a story
it would move only forward
it would be the beating of my heart

Nice poetry. Your ABCA rhyming is also very good. I just went through the lines and a few more came to my mind, which, I would like to share.
If love was a light,
it would span the seven colours
If love was food,
it would be nectar of the moonlight
Keep it up!
In practice love is much different and far from all these lines!! and at the end you'll feel that it doesn't exist at all.
We have made it to convince ourselves in difficult emotional situations!! otherwise how can you find someone to love you and to be unconditional!! as love doesn't have any limit,any line any ...
I dont know,maybe I have become a bit tough.
You are right Ideh in practice love is different from what I've written. But if it could be a sound, thing, etc I'd would want it to be very much like what my poem says. :)
I guess I haven't reached the end yet coz I am still a strong believer of love. I do believe that one can find someone who'll love you forever... however you may be... good, bad or ugly. :p
o dear,
dont forget that in spite of what ever I wrote,I also beleive it or better to say I like to beleive in it.as without love,without hanging to a very strong point called love,its sometimes very difficult to handle this damn life!!!
and I beleive that we can make it possible,we really can,but if we really do,I doubt!

Love is what keeps us going in tough situations. But its also there when things are going easy in life. :)
