I was never an avid book lover as a kid or teenager much against efforts on part of my elder sister and father. In college I joined the British Council Library in Delhi but visited it only a few times. It was during my MSc days when I was staying in a hostel that I first started grabbing hold of whatever few books that our mini hostel library had.
While packing my bags for coming to Uppsala I had to leave my small collection of books behind. Afraid that I wouldn't know how to pass time in the first few days in a new city I bought three books at the Chennai airport just before boarding my flight. The hotel where I stayed for five months kept some books at the reception. Though most of them were in Swedish, a few of them were in English. When I shifted to a new locality in April I discovered a library close by. Since then I have been issuing and reading books ever so often.
As the number of books is limited I am no longer choosy. Below is the list of books that I have read during my stay here. The stories do not belong to any particular genre. I have read a mix of chit-lit, serious, fun, and mystery books. I plan to share my thoughts on the readability factor of these books through a series of posts.
